Located on Prince Edward Road, South Shields, we are a family-orientated independent practice offering complete eye care solutions. We carry out eye and contact lens examinations, as well as hearing tests. We have access to our own off-site large manufacturing laboratory, allowing us to supply varifocals, bifocals, and even high prescription single vision lenses with a very quick turnaround time. We have or own range of frames ensuring exclusivity, as well as stocking a range of Designer brands.

If I could give a 10 STARS RATING, I would! James Hardy at Eyecare at 125 has been phenomenal. I was there for the Audiologist as I had seriously built up some wax in my ear! The air suction method was used & James was extremely respectful, caring and professional. Despite the first few attempts and struggle to remove it, James knew I did not want to leave with the wax in my ear, therefore he had kindly preserved and been patient, we had tried oil drops and waited out. Eventually the wax came out! Great success and I was able to attend my graduation with a relief, that my ear was unblocked. Also, I was impressed with James’s knowledge! Thank you for the immense professional service!

I have wore glasses all my life used most opticans in and around South shields today was my first visit here I can honestly say I have never been treat with such respect and professionalism staff are very helpful and friendly I couldn't fault the lady and gentleman who works out the front the optician was amazing and explained everything to me

FANTASTIC service for my wife Judy from Abbie and the optician. Judy has MS and has trouble walking ! Her wheelchair broke on the way to Eyecare so we completed the trip in a taxi. A great deal on the new glasses (reusing the existing frames). oh AND a LIFT back home from Abbie.or Abby. AND an offer to drop off the glasses when they are ready !!!What can i say ? Thankyou so much

Eyecare at 125 I can't thank the whole team enough for how amazing they have been with my son Jacob. Especially to mention Abbie who has gone above and beyond to help us, and help me understand exactly what was going on and now with all of this information, as a mam I can look at other options to help and support my son.
